Plessy vs. ferguson:
The Plessy vs. Ferguson case took place in 1896. The Supreme Court decided that having the whites and blacks separate but "equal" was considered constitutional. This case made it so that there would be separate facilities for different races. This case was noted as one of the saddest days in the Supreme Court when said unconstitutional. The case was later turned by another case, Brown vs. Topeka Board of Education.
